§ 26-57. Delineation.
Upon establishment of a fire lane, the fire marshal shall cause to be erected or installed adequate signs, markings and other devices to delineate the fire lane in accordance with the regulations hereinafter set forth in section 26-58. When such signs, markings and other devices are to be erected or installed on premises open to the public which are not municipally owned, the installation shall be made by the owner at his cost and expense as determined by the traffic authority under G.S. § 14-311b and any other pertinent sections of the General Statutes, and shall be done in accordance with the standards in this article.
