§ 47. Financial interest of town personnel.

No officer or employee of the town shall be interested, directly or indirectly, except as minority stockholder in a corporation, in any contract with, sale to, purchase from or compensable service made with or to the town. Any such contract, sale, purchase or liability for such service shall be voidable and any moneys of the town paid therefor may be recovered from the payee. The foregoing provisions of this section shall not apply to any contract awarded in compliance with [subsection] 46(c) of this Act.
